Founded by Priestley College student Elliot Taylor, WY-LINK was born from a simple observation: the gap between education and earning in 2026 is wider than ever. We exist to bridge that void!
We connect ambitious young people in Warrington directly with real industries, local businesses, and entrepreneurs. If you’re figuring out your "Plan A" and not sure where to start, we give you a solid launchpad.
Our sessions skip the generic advice and focus on real action—putting you face-to-face with people ready to talk jobs, training, and real opportunities. No confusion, no fluff. Just clear steps to get you where you want to go.
Our format keeps things simple and direct:

30 mins: Free networking (chat with local employers, entrepreneurs, and most of all other young people who have taken different career paths)

How WY-LINK is different!
Unlike your average careers fair, WY-LINK focuses on relatability. This means every event features young apprentices, workers, business owners, and relatable speakers who've actually been in your shoes.
As well as giving top tips about networking itself, we also pride ourselves on delivering technical education, zooming in on outside-the-classroom skills. These will cover everything from levelling up a CV to things as complex as setting up your own business and using AI more effectively.
We bring careers into close reach by putting young voices front and centre—including apprentices, employees, students, and rising entrepreneurs.
